Simon is a Chartered Accountant with nearly two decades of experience in New Zealand’s Business Advisory sector. He specialises in New Zealand International Financial Reporting Standards (NZ IFRS), taxation, and advisory services for migrants and international businesses.
Originally from Korea, Simon moved to Aotearoa in 2004 and has since built a career that bridges cultures and communities. He has worked with leading firms including BDO Auckland, where he supported high-profile Korean clients such as Hyundai Group and Korean Air Lines. Simon’s bilingual fluency and deep understanding of both Korean and New Zealand business environments make him a trusted advisor to Andersen New Zealand’s Korean clientele.
Simon is actively involved in the Korean community in Auckland, having served in leadership and advisory roles across several organisations. These include the Korea Sports Council in New Zealand Inc., the Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry Association in New Zealand Inc., and the Hi Well Charitable Foundation Trust.
